Enrique Iglesias’ ‘Duele El Corazón’ is the No. 1 Song in Latin America

Sony Music Latin announced Enrique Iglesias’ song “Duele el Corazón,” is the No. 1 song throughout Latin America.

The song which was released on April 19th this year, was able to rank number one on Monitec Radio Monitoring System, this result was taken from monitoring 23 radio stations throughout Latin America.

Enrique Iglesias Talks “Save the Children”

Enrique Iglesias met with some children from “Desarrollo Educativo del Altiplano (Idea)” a program promoted by Save the Children, before his concert in Guatemala last weekend!

After meeting with the children, Enrique spoke with Prensa Libre, about why it’s so important for him to work with Save the Children: 

 

Spanish:

¿Por qué es importante para usted el contribuir en proyectos que impulsen el desarrollo integral de niños?
Es muy importante. Me parece una locura que algunas de estas comunidades ni siquiera tienen acceso a los libros. Deben recibir la misma oportunidad que todos los demás; de aprender y ser lo que quieran cuando crezcan.

¿Qué lo motivó a acercarse a la población guatemalteca a través de Save the Children?
He trabajado con Save the Children desde hace bastante tiempo, y han demostrado tener los recursos necesarios y el personal apasionado para asegurar que la donación va a donde se necesita. Tienen una experiencia increíble en este sector.

¿Cómo le hace sentir el saber que niños en riesgo aprenden a leer y escribir y se alimentan mejor gracias a su apoyo?
Me siento feliz y esto me motiva mucho. Estoy muy agradecido de tener la oportunidad de ayudar de cualquier manera que pueda.

 

English:
Why is it important for you to contribute in projects that promote the integral development of children?
It’s very important. It seems crazy to me that some of these communities do not even have access to books. They should receive the same opportunity as all others; To learn and be what they want when they grow up.

 

What motivated you to approach the Guatemalan population through Save the Children?
I have worked with Save the Children for quite some time, and have proven to have the necessary resources and passionate staff to ensure that the donation goes where it is needed. They have incredible experience in this sector.

How does it make you feel that children at risk learn to read and write and feed themselves better thanks to your support?
I feel happy and this motivates me a lot. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to help in any way I can.
